Jan.23,2010 Meeting Overview

The new 700meg. Radio system was tested in known trouble spots in our district. There were some problems at Hutamuki as we figured. If a major incident happens there we should call for a mobile repeater or Com I from the ECC.

Staffing- after we have run all full time and part time personnel through the Sta. 193 familiarization  program we will staff Sta. 192 as discussed at an earlier meeting with two personnel when possible.

When station rotations begin it will be for two months at a time.

Training for all personnel. The discussion was to develop a training system to deliver monthly sessions on one night, one afternoon and one weekend morning like the EMS training is being done.

It has been decided that during the winter months of November 1  through March 1 to run a squad on medical calls from Sta.193.

The duty officers will be producing a map study and testing standard for personnel, with a report due March 1.

Asst. Chief Frehe and Asst. Chief Kramer are starting to work on  new S.O.G's with a report due March 1

Deputy Chief Ritter is developing a company inspection program (to include preplans) within the city limits of De Soto. We will be working with the City building code official during this program. Also he will be working with Leavenworth    County  and the city of Shawnee Fire Department  to produce  water rescue training.

Chief Zahner will be conducting pump training with shift personnel and volunteers.

Personnel are advised to start thinking about the 2011 budget.

Future plans will be discussed to develop long range goals for the district and personnel.

If you have any questions contact the station duty officer or chief officers.

   Thanks for your assistance,
